The KICA Certificate in Special Bakery offers learners the opportunity to develop intermediate to advanced practical skills and knowledge in a wide range of bakery manufacturing techniques.

What you’ll study

This qualification covers bakery skills and knowledge relating to many types of bakery products including fermented products, bread, pastry, flour, confectionery, sugar and chocolate craft as well as enterprise knowledge. Student will also learn about important aspects of bakery business such as safe food preparation and developing a bakery business.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but Secondary School Certificate (with Math and English) or equivalent will be preferred. Approved age group is 16+ years.
